Crystal
Events is a full-service event and venue management and consulting
company located in Ventura, California. Crystal Events offers
complete event planning & management services, programming
& production, entertainment & special event coordination,
high-quality activities, and event promotion. Crystal Events also
offers event and venue management consulting services including
long-range planning, program and policy development, needs assessments,
training, and general management assistance. Our services are
available throughout the country to help companies, organizations,
fairs & festivals, families, event venues, and resort properties
present highly-effective events. We pride ourselves on
attention to detail and an "Extreme Theme" approach to
quality event presentation.
Michael
A. Paluszak (Mike) is President of Crystal Events. Mike is a seasoned
veteran with over thirty years of event and venue management experience.
During his career, Mr. Paluszak has distinguished himself as an
active industry participant and leader. Mike is Past President
of Western Fairs Association, a trade organization representing
fairs, fairgrounds, and fair related businesses throughout North
America. He is also Past President of the California Authority
of Racing Fairs, a California Joint Powers Authority consisting
of the twenty-three California fair organizations engaged in either
live horse racing or off-track wagering. Additionally, Mr. Paluszak
served as a member of the California Secretary of Food & Agriculture's
Advisory Committee on Fairs, and is a former Board Member of the
Ventura Visitors & Convention Bureau.
Prior
to forming Crystal Events in January 2000, Mike was the CEO &
General Manager of the 31st DAA, Ventura County Fair & Seaside
Park. During his ten years in that position, Mr. Paluszak was
responsible for overall management of the Fair, as well as this
oceanfront event venue which hosts a wide variety of events throughout
the year including meetings, conferences, seminars, trade &
consumer shows, motor sports, concerts, community events, fundraisers
and specialty shows. Seaside Park also owns and operates The Derby
Club, one of California's premiere off-track horse racing facilities.
Before
moving to Ventura, Mike was General Manager of the Calaveras County
Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee in Angels Camp, California, home
of Mark Twain's "Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County"..."The
Superbowl of Frog Jumping." Mike's career also includes being
the former Executive Director of the Las Vegas Junior Chamber
of Commerce; Assistant Manager/Director of Publicity, Promotions
& Special Events at Legend City Amusement Park; and Manager
of a Phoenix catering company specializing in corporate events,
private parties and weddings, where Mike began his career in the
event industry in 1972.
